Development of US Cloud’s Thought-Leadership Video Series
When I joined US Cloud, the “studio” was nothing more than an unused office with acoustic wall panels that created a distracting zebra effect on camera. With no budget to renovate and no airflow in the room, I built the studio from the ground up using what was available and what I could source creatively.
I ordered the custom LED sign to anchor the space and repurposed furniture—borrowing the bookcase from a retiree’s office and removing the door for a more open backdrop. I filled the shelves with secondhand books sourced from local thrift stores, intentionally picking titles on coding, Microsoft software, and leadership to reinforce the subject matter.
As a playful detail, I added a 3D-printed Clippy figurine and had Bill Gates’ infamous mugshot framed and mounted. These touches gave the set personality and underscored the company’s position as a third-party Microsoft support provider that wasn’t afraid to poke fun at Redmond.

Despite the limitations, I designed, directed, and produced a professional-looking thought-leadership series. The final result gave US Cloud a strong, consistent brand presence on YouTube, transforming an abandoned office into a functioning studio that elevated the company’s executive voice and enterprise credibility.
